Orientation day of Warmadewa International Program (WIP) “Batch 4” period September 3rd – December 20th, 2018 was held on Monday, September 3rd, 2018. This activity is a regular activity held before the courses start. The main purposes of this activity are to describe the situation of Warmadewa University and Warmadewa International Program and to give information to all new students about health and tropical diseases, culture, law, safety and VISA.
There are 48 new students that come from four countries: Germany, Finland, Belgium and Spain. The students come from 26 different universities in Europe. They take 4 – 7 courses for this semester. In addition, the students will study from Monday to Wednesday. On Thursday for six times, they will join workshops in order to give them information about Balinese culture, especially Balinese dance, Balinese bamboo instrument called rindik, Balinese food/cake and Balinese offerings. They will also do some excursions, like visiting traditional market, Balinese compound house and Balinese temple.
Information informed on the orientation day is also provided on dropbox so the students can access it easily. They also got course book as their guide during their study at Warmadewa University. At the end of the orientation day, they prepossessed about the activity.
